A Love Collage

A Collage of Love

This was done on 5″ x 7″ canvas panel. There is tissue paper, rhinestones, and chiyogami paper…glitter…and ribbon. This is the first of umm..14. Because Valentine’s Day is on the 14th! That means I have to get more canvas panel.

With this project, I wanted to just use tissue paper, but then I decided it needed something. Then it needed something more again!  Have a bunch of blue hearts in my supplies so I will probably use those in the 2nd collage. Blue and Purple

Glittery Rainbows…

As promised here are photos of my glitter glue and color pens.
What is really cool about the bottom row of glitter glue is that there are two colors in each tube!! How fun.
and for my color pens!!
This set has rainbow pens, glitter pens, metallic pens, neon pens, and regular pens. Oh, I am going to have some much fun with these. And I had forgotten I had these pearl crayons!

After I get a better pair of googles I plan on turning these into some neat jewelry.

Uh oh, I’m on a deadline.

Yikes! Today is the 10th and my TDoXmas project starts in 2 days.  Plus I took on a small freelance gig. It doesn’t pay much, but it was something that sounded fun so I said..why not. I need to keep my skills up anyway.  I sent the guy my latest versions, but I haven’t heard back yet.
My new crafting obsession is glitter. Did you know they make glitter glue for glue guns. Hot.Glittery.Glue.  Oh my!  I’m posting pictures of my glitter glue tomorrow (it’s late and I don’t feel like going to down to my office to take pictures). Oh.Oh.Oh. I also have this thing for color pens…I.Love.Color.Pens. The whole bloody rainbow!!! Glitter, rainbows, and…and..unicorns. Who doesn’t like unicorns!

Anywho, I’m listening to Orange Range right now. GOD69 to be exact. I really like that song. Yamato is beast on this song! I think that is why I like it. Look, don’t get me started.  I know I need to go to bed. I have classes to teach tomorrow. It is my last day at one of  the locations.

New work tomorrow…

I’ll be posting some new work tomorrow.   This week has been very hectic and I am not feeling well. On the plus side, I will have time off on Thursday so I plan on focusing on some long simmering ideas. Huzzah. I want to have a song of the day. Hmmm..wouldn’t that be interesting.

I find I work better when music is playing. And now that I have discovered the musical goldmine that is J-pop and J-rock, I love listening to the music. I kinda get lost in the melody and rhythm; the vocals, the harmonies…it is freeing.  Do you find the music influences what you work on? It definitely influences me. I am painting or drawing to the music, for the music. That gives me an idea…

And is it a cheat to use glitter in art? I don’t think so. …tissue paper and glitter!!
